The community of Chino Valley is nestled in the mountains of Arizona. The area’s fresh mountain air and mild climate have attracted people to the town since it was incorporated in 1970. Chino Valley residents enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine annually. The town’s population has increased by approximately 3,000 since 2000. This population growth has been beneficial for area businesses.

Chino Valley’s location on state Route 89 makes traveling to and from the town very easy. This location also makes the town a convenient stopping place for people who are traveling between Prescott and Flagstaff. Many Chino Valley businesses receive some business from these travelers.

Chino Valley offers a variety of homes. People who own horses will enjoy living on property with a large pasture. Attractive features of other homes in the area include panoramic mountain views, fruit trees and large patios. Those who want large homes will find several houses with five bedrooms for sale. Houses with two bedrooms are available for prospective homeowners who want smaller homes. Properties with more than an acre of land are available for those who want plenty of outdoor space.

The town’s recent growth has increased employment in the construction, supply and service industries. The Town of Chino Valley and the Chino Valley School District are two of Chino Valley’s major employers.

Chino Valley residents receive health care at the Chino Valley Medical Center in the center of town. The town has two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. There are several colleges 15 miles away in Prescott.

Residents of Chino Valley enjoy a variety of stores and restaurants in the area. Groceries are available at the Safeway in Chino Valley. The Walgreens in Chino Valley sells health and beauty items. Specialty stores in Chino Valley sell books, paint and liquor. Target and a Walmart Supercenter are 14 miles from Chino Valley in Prescott. The Prescott Gateway Mall is 15 miles from Chino Valley. The mall has Dillard’s, Sears, some smaller stores and some restaurants.

Restaurants in Chino Valley serve pizza, burgers, sandwiches, Mexican food and Chinese food. There are Italian and Indian restaurants in Prescott.

Chino Valley residents enjoy spending time in the town’s parks. Memory Park has a playground, a large grassy area and basketball courts. There are ball fields, a playground and a skate park at Community Center Park. This park is also home to the town’s Aquatic Center. Swimming lessons and open swimming are available at the center.

Several area attractions are less than 20 miles from Chino Valley. The Phippen Museum is nine miles away in Prescott. This museum has collections of Western art. The Gold King Mine Ghost Town is 18 miles away in Jerome.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is 25 miles from Chino Valley in Cottonwood. The park has a campground. Visitors can also stay in cabins overnight. Horseback riders, bicyclists and hikers can use the Lime Kiln Trail in the park.
